Kate Spade Interesting Life Styling Event!

On Wednesday, I was invited to go to the Kate Spade Interesting Life styling event with my bestie, Emily Delong (check out her blog here!) It was super fun! We went to our local store at the Easton Town Center. They had the perfect champagne cheat sheet listing out the instructions on how to make the champagne that we were tasting! Also, they had little hor devours that were sooo good!

While we were sipping our champagne, I decided to try on some of the new Kate Spade fall arrivals. I tried on the woodland plaid midi skirt with a black turtle neck. At first, I was timid and did not want to try on the midi skirt because I am short and I though it would be too long and not look right. But, to my surprise, it was adorable! It was high waisted, and had just a few pleats and added pockets that were super fun! The material was absolutely perfect too. The color tones worked great and it would be perfect to wear not only for the fall but into the holidays (especially since my fiancé thinks I look like a cute Mrs. Claus, haha).

In the photo with me is Erika, who is a district manager for Kate Spade. I just want to say how wonderful the KS girls are in our local store. They are so friendly, honest and super fun! They really made the experience even better than just the champagne and small snacks.
Everyone should go check out the new Kate Spade fall arrivals. Here are some of my favs!

Fall BOOT Camp!

The last couple of days, the weather has been cooling down and bit, and I love it! Don't get me wrong, I love summer, but the fall season is my favorite time of the year. Some people are excited for a new year of school,  or a new sport season, or if your like me, you are ready for some fall fashion! Fall fashion is by far my favorite fashion. There is nothing better than getting out your leather lotion and getting those tall brown boots ready to make their debut!

Speaking of brown leather boots, that leads me into todays topic, my top 3 favorite fall boot styles for this coming season!

Number 3 is what i would call, the western style! The past few fall seasons, the western style boot has been coming out more and more. I think this style is perfect for the simple sweet girl who is southern at heart! I like the western style to be a shade of brown with a polished look and a hint of wear and tear.

Number 2 is the classic tall riding boot! I really believe that fall was invented for the riding boot. This style went from the horses and saddles, to the streets, and fast! Once the riding boot trend started, there sure was no stopping it. You can pair riding boots with any outfit. The daily pant/legging or the weekly work dress. Wearing them with a dress is a perfect way to merge summer into fall. You can first wear your boots with your dresses when it is still warm, and then add some tights once it gets cooler. I love pairing my riding boots with the perfect jean shirt and topped off with a scarf! And if you get bored with the traditional flat riding boot, add a chunky heel!

Last but most certainly not least, the bootie! I have always loved the bootie style since they have been trending but when i used to work at DSW, the question always was, "Well what do I wear these with?" I think now that a couple seasons have gone by, we are just now learning what to pair them with. I personally think that they look so cute with a cuffed boyfriend fit jean or with a skinny leg work pant. Also, I think that that they are adorable with dresses as well! I don't have too many bootie styles but i have a feeling that this style may be at an all time high this season and I may need a couple more! (The fiancé will be thrilled!)

Well that is it for the BOOT camp! I am so excited to bust out these fall favorites! Word of advise: Go get em' while they have them! I know we all like to wait until things go on sale, but with boots, they go really quick and not every store gets very many in your shoe size, so get them early!

P.S. I had my first pumpkin spice latte today!

Enjoy!

Wedding Planner by Erin Condren- A Bridal MUST HAVE!

I am so excited! I recently received my Erin Condren Wedding Planner in the mail. It has been a long time waiting since i ordered the wrong one at first so i am so happy to finally have it! It is perfect for any bride planning a wedding big or small!

The cover of the planner is completely customizable and you can choose from the many different designs that are available. You can also choose to put a picture of you and your special someone on the front or back of the planner. I went super classic and went with my wedding colors light pink and lavender, and of course I had to add my future name to be. You can also choose which month you would like to start your planner. I think this is great because you want to make sure that your wedding date is including in the planner. You can pick a one year planner or even upgrade and add more months if you are planning a longer engagement!

The inside of the planner is beautiful with lots of designs and quotes. The cover pages allows you to write your name. The planner is very organized with tabs labeling each month and the wedding specific "I Do" tab!

The Erin Condren Wedding Planner includes many pages that are wedding specific and are perfect for the busy bride to be. This page includes the top 10 wedding tips. Number 1, GET ORGANIZED! With the help of this planner, you will have number 1 complete, Check!

This next page is definitely a MUST HAVE, the budget check list! It is super cute with the different colors and it is going to be so nice to have a "go to" spot with my entire wedding budget! This way i can make sure that I have everything I need included in my budget and that i do not leave anything out.

One of my favorites, the bridesmaids and groomsmen pages! These pages are perfect because it notes that you want to write the names, addresses, phone numbers and even dress/tux measures measurements along with shoe sizes of course! This is so handy and I am super excited to fill this page out with my girls! Hopefully I will not have to nag the fiancé to get the groomsmen info! ;)

Lastly, in the very back of the planner, is the "Keep it together" folder. I have already added a reasonable amount and there is still a lot of room! It easily allows you to store all of your papers and brochures for everything that you come in contact with while planning your wedding.

Now of course i did not include everything that comes in this planner! It is filled with each months, calendar, wedding specific pages and even pages and pages of blank note paper to jot down all your notes. It is going to be so handy to have this planner to go to once things start to get stressful! I am so excited! Every bride to be must have this ADORABLE planner to make the wedding planning process even more fun!
